During Lent, the Church celebrates a pre-sanctified liturgy written by St. Gregory, Pope of Old Rome (diologist) which is offered to the faithful on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
The liturgy is a conjunction of Vespers (evening prayer) and Holy Communion, fortifying the faithful during their Lenten observance in communing with their Lord who is the bread of life and sustenance of Earthly pilgrimage towards our heavenly inheritance.
