DIVINE SERVICES COVID19

Dear family of the Church and friends of the Exarchate,

The Lord's Peace and Grace be upon you!

Many of you are aware that churches are still not able to function normally and some parishes have slowly started with minimum rostered attendance.......

As the Convent Chapel is attached to the sisterhood nursing home - the chapel at this stage may only function in the capacity of funeral chaplaincy and may not open for any public liturgical lifestyle.

Hence, as has been the case of yesteryear where the Church went underground - our clergy offer the services in their private chapels as the rule prescribes....

Thus, if any require the ministry of healing via the sacraments - communion, holy unction, absolution, spiritual direction; please contact us and we will make such available for you via visitation!

Holy Advent and Nativity is approaching and we have no word thus far concerning the schedule.....in a few weeks we will post word concerning thus and if alternative arrangments are to be in place! Thanking you for your patience regarding thus.

Regarding this weeks homily, as you are all well aware, our Church is not funded like others and we all work to offer the Lord the fruits of our labours wholeheartedly....Hence, we congratulate Fr Deacon Matthew who in the midst of being a husband, father, and laborer in working very long and hard hours; He is progressing well in his studies for the priesthood and producing exceptional heartfelt homiles - being one who lives his vocation and not waffles on from what is taken from a text book!

Hence, the Lord has blessed him with a marvelous chaplaincy to fellow workers - taking the reality of the Heavenly Kingdom into the harsh reality of the trade industry; bringing many unexpected souls to commune with God according to their own capacity.

Amongst these these are: the rough, fowl mouthed, highly hormonal, and unlikely candidates/people the institutional church doesn't want to know - the very people the early saints welcomed; let us remember that our Lord was a carpenter/chippy and his apostles were fishermen (a few rough amongst them)

Thus, Fr. Matthew shall post his homily Sunday Evening due to such matters expressed above....please take the time to read and validate for yourselves that the Holy Spirit is at work in him - a soul who did not know how to put words together, who was the class clown at school, who many belittled and thought he'd never make it in the world.......SEMINARIES do not produce the excellence and transformation of souls like Fr. Matthew who speak to a wounded world and real people of a broken society who thirst for HE WHO IS the Living Water - Jesus the Lord!

People do not want nice words and philosphical phrases - people want true medicine for their souls and want to be reassured that regardless of what or who they are: God loves them wholeheartedly despite the madness of ill translated scripture and the bickering of supposed theological minds who hide their true selves in the midst of instituted religiosity to spare their exposure - the equivalent of a bombshell when they are found out!!!

Blessings in Christ and his College of Apostles,

+Raffaele msb
