The evening began by honouring the holy apostles through the akathist prayers and veneration of our relics of the apostles.
The liturgy began and after the offering of the holy mysteries, Arch Deacon Matthew was ordained into the presbyteriate. Fr Mark walked him around the altar as he venerated and contemplated his commitment to the church, then +Raffaele anointed him with chrysm oil. He was then vested in the robes of a priest and then communion was offered to the congregation.
