The evening began with the chiming of the church bells across Collingwood. Soon the liturgy began and the Gospel of Luke was read. The passage was about Mary taking Jesus to the temple and his role in the redemption of Israel.
As the liturgy progressed, the beautiful voice of Metropolitan +Raffaele rang throughout the church., and the offerings were brought to the altar.
The gifts were blessed and consumed by the clergy before being offered to the congregation.
It was a lovely celebration on a warm evening. Agape was shared afterwards between the clergy and congregation.
