Tonight's liturgy began with the ringing of the church bells before the clergy entered.
The first reading by Father Mark was from Ethesians and spoke of trusting the Lord to protect us.
The second reading was from the gospel of Luke. It spoke of the woman who touched Jesus and was healed of her ailments, and another young girl whom he raised up.
Metropolitan Raffaele's homily spoke of the three arch angels, the duties of the angel community, and the nature of the Bible. He explained the story of the lady who touched Jesus, that He called out to her to alert the crowd of the power when you ask God for help. He then spoke of the boy with no eyes and how Jesus makes clay eyes and through his faith he regained his vision.
Next, some singing. Then the gifts were brought and blessed. Thunder and lightning joined us during the Our Father and clergy communion Then everyone else had communion.
After communion, special something - everyone was anointed with unction oil. And then we all gathered for snacks in the back.
